WELLNESS SERVICES

Madison Cat Project is pleased to be offering affordable, low-cost wellness care for basic preventive veterinary services. Appointments are available on Wednesdays and Fridays and can be requested here. Appointment requests are reviewed and approved during business hours, so if you make a request after hours or on a weekend, it will be reviewed the next business day.

Annual wellness exams are required to establish a veterinary- client- patient relationship, to receive vaccines and certain other services.

Please email wellness@madisoncatproject.org to request a technician or recheck appointment if your cat has already established a routine wellness exam with us in the last year.

Due to the small size of Madison Cat Project, to minimize stress to both your cat and the shelter cats, and to ensure efficiency of clinic operations, Madison Cat Project Wellness Clinic will operate in a curbside fashion. Check-in will occur in the parking lot, then the veterinary staff will bring your cat into the shelter for their exam and wellness services.

Services Not Available: Madison Cat Project is primarily a cat shelter organization. We are NOT a full service veterinary clinic and therefore have limited diagnostic and treatment options. Radiographs (x-rays), blood analyzers, ultrasound and other advanced diagnostics are not available at the shelter. Madison Cat Project is unable to provide any urgent or emergency medical care (surgical or medical) to the public. For more advanced diagnostics and care, consulting a full service veterinary clinic or hospital as soon as possible is strongly recommended.

Thank you for giving us the chance to help improve your cat’s health and quality of life!  If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at wellness@madisoncatproject.org.
